Simply Clean Returns After Six Years: A Reunion of Form Over Function

I decided to last minute create a photo - blog style post that pays homage to the golden days of what a photo coverage car event should look and feel like. Here are my thoughts.

After a six-year hiatus, Simply Clean made an epic comeback, and enthusiasts couldn’t have asked for a better reunion. Held at the beautiful Florida Amphitheater in Apopka, the event brought together car lovers from all walks of life, despite the rainy weather that lingered up til the end!

For many attendees, the show evoked a wave of nostalgia, calling back to the golden era of automotive culture in the early 2000s. It felt like a throwback to the days of Canibeat, StanceNation, Illest, Fatlace —brands that helped shape the scene and pushed the boundaries of stance and style. We saw how the car culture has molded over the last six years. Seeing builds that carried that classic influence reminded everyone why Simply Clean is more than just a car show—it’s a cultural touchstone for those who have lived and breathed the car community for decades. Shoutout to the OGs that have been holding it down and came out from hibernation!

The new venue, relocated from Destination Daytona, at Apopka's Florida Amphitheatre was a standout feature, offering a unique perspective on the cars thanks to the amphitheater’s sloped layout. No matter where you stood, you could admire the impressive lineup of cars from every angle. From Japanese kei cars to high-performance supercars, the event embraced the theme of “form over function” in true Simply Clean fashion.

One of the most exciting aspects was seeing such a diverse range of vehicles that hadn’t been showcased since 2019. Enthusiasts proudly brought their builds back out, some cars that haven't even been touched since the last Simply Clean in 2019! What an insane glimpse into how car culture has evolved since the last show while still holding on to that old-school spirit. With over 350+ photos documenting everything from meticulously styled imports, low riders, kei cars, to stanced supercars, proving that the passion for clean builds has indeed changed but is still as strong as ever.

Food and beverage trucks lined the venue, providing an array of delicious options to keep the energy high throughout the day. Whether you were craving classic street food, or something unique like MAC Meals, the culinary variety did not disappoint. Vendors also showed out, with booths like BC Racing NA, Enjuku Racing, brands that have been around for awhile made their statement by showing up with the sickest line up of booth cars.

Despite the light rain throughout the day, spirits stayed high and the turnout was strong. I would even argue that the moody skies made for better lighting and more dramatic photos. The rain only reminded everyone that real enthusiasts show up, rain or shine.

Beyond the cars themselves, what truly made this year’s Simply Clean feel like a homecoming was the people. You could sense the camaraderie everywhere—builders reconnecting, OG content guys like BAM and RMH coming out to tell their stories, and long-time friends linking up for the first time in years. It wasn’t just about showing off who had the best fitment or cleanest bay—it was about celebrating the shared love for this culture and the hard work that goes into keeping it alive. There was a real grassroots energy in the air—DIY builds, garage-kept projects, and passion-fueled brands all converging to make this more than just a showcase—it was a community marketplace, a hangout, and a vibe all wrapped into one.

If this return is any indication, the future looks bright. Simply Clean proved that the heart of the car scene hasn’t gone anywhere—it’s just been waiting for the right moment to re-emerge. The buzz around the event already has people asking about next year. Are you making it next year? Will more regional builds surface from the shadows? Only time will tell, but one thing’s for sure—Simply Clean is back, and it’s reclaiming its spot as one of the most authentic and beloved car gatherings out here in Central Florida.

Huge shoutout to Tony, Nickoli, Kam and those that helped make Simply Clean Invitational a success. See you guys next November!
